Courtyard by Marriott Richmond North/Glen Allen

This is a nice hotel with comfortable beds, clean rooms and pleasant service. The HVAC is reasonably quiet and easy to control. There is no breakfast buffet and breakfast is available from a third party vendor (Starbucks) that operates a small in-house restaurant. Parking is adequate and free.

Location is good with access to most of Richmond within 10-15 mins. The rooms are a bit dated with chipped showers. The room I was in had 2 shampoo bottle and no conditioner. Also a few of the towels had some brown marks, so I didn't use those. Overall not bad. The bistro had good food and Starbucks coffee with friendly staff, on par with other courtyard property.

Better than the Hilton Virginia Crossings! Most likely because it is newer or recently updated. Room cleanliness seems to be a trend in the hotel industry. The floor smelled like pot (not their fault) but the tub and the hairs seems like it was not well cleaned. Service in the Hotel industry is getting rare, with online check in and reservations. Very little interactions but thats another issue. Clean room, not really, comfortable bed, I did not think so. Good Value, Not really, I think you could stay at a lesser brand hotel and get the same for less money! The ice machine worked. I would never stay here again and suggest you do not either! It is not worth the money.

Wonderful hotel with hospitable staff. The General Manager went out of his way to get us a room early, as we were to check in a couple of hours later. The hotel is very nicely decorated, very clean and the rooms are equally nice. Lots of space and very quiet Thank you

Stopped here late on way to PA- the staff checking in late was great, the room was clean, straightened, tidy, and cool. The bathroom was clean, although the shower curtain was not wide enough and bent so kept falling to the center making if even more difficult to keep water in the tub and worse part there was no hot water even at 7:45 am; otherwise a great roadside hotel for price and very SAFE stay. I was a tad put off by the tip QR code on the dresser in the room though.

Sam Lewis is one of the hardest working men I know. His kindness to make you feel at home is beyond words. My husband and I spent 4 days there visiting family. We were truly blessed and hotels need more men like Sam Lewis. His geninune heart for others is extremely noticed and we left there feeling like we were home. Keep up the good work. I absolutely love this hotel. Their service is incredible. Building is new and hotel staffs, specially Ehab is nicest!!! They are extremely friendly and nicest hotel staffs I’ve ever encountered in Richmond VA. I will only stay at courtyard by Marriott Richmond Glen Allen and I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling in Richmond VA. I stayed in other Marriott hotels near by but this hotel is the best because of decent hotel staffs and price is on point. I absolutely hate Hilton hotels these days. Marriott hotel never disappoints me. There are many restaurants and shopping near by hotel. If you are towing boat or trucks there are plenty of parking space.

After an exhausting few days of flight delays and constant rebooking due to the snowstorm, I arrived feeling overwhelmed and emotionally drained. From the moment I interacted with Ladajah at the front desk, everything shifted for the better. She was calm, composed, and genuinely kind throughout our interaction. She took the time to truly listen, offered reassurance, and went above and beyond to help make our stay as smooth as possible. We stayed here for our anniversary, and despite the stress leading up to it, she made us feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. What truly stood out was her humanity. She didn’t treat the situation like a transaction or a problem to rush through — she treated me like a person. Her empathy, professionalism, and steady presence made a very difficult moment manageable and even comforting. I would also like to share that my father is an Ambassador-level guest who has stayed at thousands of hotels over the years, and even by those very high standards, Ladajah’s service clearly stands out. Her ability to combine corporate professionalism with genuine compassion is rare and deeply impactful. Ladajah is an exceptional employee and a true asset to this property and brand. Corporate leadership and management should be proud and recognize her outstanding service. She represents hospitality at its very best, and her kindness will not be forgotten.
